WINS!!
Each year WALA has
brought home national awards and
this year is no exception.
Seattle welcomed our
2008 Annual Meeting Attendees with
sunshine and beautiful 60 plus
degree weather throughout the week.
ALA again hosted record numbers of
attendees over 1700 and more than
270 vendors. It was the largest
vendor hall our attendees remember
having seen in all the years we have
participated. The opening and
closing sessions were wonderful. Our
attendees participated in a variety
of classes and our Regional
Representative will give us a run
down of the regional meeting at our
next monthly meeting on the 28th of
this month.
The awards ceremony
was especially exciting this year.
We were awarded the Gold Level Award
for the Presidents' Award of
Excellence, First Place for Vendor
Partnering and First Place for Bar
Relations. Last but certainly not
least our very own Diana Hutchison
was awarded Honorable Mention, 1 of
only 26 out of over 900 submissions
for the Qwest Award. The awards will
be displayed at the next meeting as
well.
