Chapter members celebrated the
holiday season with a special
luncheon at the home of member
Janice Friedman. A tour of her
vintage 50's decorated home was
followed by a delicious meal
catered by Truffles.
 A
few members shared stories of
Christmases past, and then
President Jana Waltman led the
group in a tribute to retiring
member Jackie Barnes,
highlighting her tenure with the
chapter since 1995, 
sharing memories of her many
contributions and experiences.
Jackie is an excellent example
of someone who took full
advantage of the opportunities
available to ALA members for
personal and professional
growth. She served the chapter
in many different ways, always
willing to help where needed,
and her presence will be greatly
missed.
Special thanks to all who
brought nonperishable food items
to share with the Kansas Food
Bank!
